Who supported Hipaa and made political contributions for it to be
past? Was it insurance companies? Computer companies? Thanks

There were many interest groups lobbying for (and against) different
aspects of HIPAA.   Indeed, some of those groups lobbying for certain
provisions also lobbied against others.  Are you interested primarily
in one aspect of the bill (such as the controversial issues involving
privacy of medical records) or is your interest broader than that?

I am looking at two aspects: 1.to see the influence of computer
companies for the security questions, and then 2. to see who was
supporting for the "privacy statement" The answer to the second
questions is of most interest to me.  Thanks Matt Paul
