I recently heard a song this evening on a Jeff Buckley album, which I eventually recognised as being in a film that I had seen. The song was called Hallelujah, but in the film it was covered by Tom Waits, as I remember. To add to the complication, it was actually written by Leonard Cohen originally. So to sum up: Leonard Cohen wrote the song, which was covered by Jeff Buckley on his album and by Tom Waits. The latter version I remember hearing in a film - I think possibly at the end credits. It may also be on one of Waits' albums, but I have no idea. The thing that is driving me crazy is... which film was this song featured in, as sung by Tom Waits? I can't find it anywhere. | |
