Hello lbalk,

According to the site of Hometown Favorites, it is no longer produced.
If you go to this page: http://www.hometownfavorites.com/btwgb.html
and search on popcorn, you will come to brands no longer available,
and these include TV Time Popcorn.

sorry

Yes I was aware of that web site-- But someone else was making the
product within the last 10 years. It just had different packaging I
used to buy it mail order and I cant rememeber who I got it from. I
have tried to find it under multiple searches and can not. Maybe the
bottom line is it is just not available anymore.

Hi lbalk-ga,

You were absolutely spot-on when you said that TV Time Popcorn had
been bought by another company, and was still being sold, but in a
repackaged format. Searching on “TV Time Popcorn” I found that it had
been made by TV Time Foods. Searching on “TV Time Foods”, I came
across the following:

“Great Western Products is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of
concession supplies and equipment. In 1992, Great Western purchased TV
Time Foods in Bremen, Indiana.”

Source:
Great Western Products
http://www.gwproducts.com/aboutus.htm

So it is, indeed, still being made and, you can buy it directly from
them! Their primary business seems to be supplying popcorn and
supplies to movie theatres, but they still offer TV Time Popcorn in
the dual packages, complete with salt and yummy coconut oil--just like
it used to be. I didn’t even know you could still find popcorn done in
coconut oil!

From their website:

“Great Western also has available its popular Great Pop Dual Pak pouch
system which has everything to pop perfect popcorn every time. Great
Pop is packaged with one chamber containing gourmet quality popcorn
and buttery flavored salt. The other side contains high grade, low
melt point, pure coconut oil. Great Pop is available in either 6 oz.,
8oz., or 12 oz. portion packs. Great pop can also be packaged with
corn oil.”

And here is the page from which to order:
http://www.gwproducts.com/popcorn.htm

I followed the whole process through to entering credit card
information and processing the order, just to make sure that there was
nothing to preclude an individual from ordering, and it all went
smoothly. So you should be savoring your popcorn in short order.

I searched further for a couple of additional sources for you, and
came up with these:

HTMarket.com
http://www.marketware-tech.com/popsupandac.html

FunFoodsDepot.com
http://www.funfoodsdepot.com/inventory.asp?Category=Popcorn

Enjoy, lbalk-ga! If you should have any questions or need
clarification of any of the above, please do not hesitate to ask.

Regards,

Beth

Search criteria:

“TV Time” popcorn
“TV Time Foods”
“Great Pop” popcorn

Thanks, lbalk, for the kind words. It was glad to be able to find this
for you. And thanks, Missy, for the generous compliment.

Doing research is like being a detective—you find a little clue and
follow it until you find another. You follow a trail of breadcrumbs
(or in this case a trail of popcorn). At the end of the quest you
find……TV Time!!
