How many mayors are in The United States and how many mayors are in New York State?

Hi patz,

I have located a database of US city mayors. This database is
searchable by state and finding the number of mayors would entail
counting the mayors for each state separately and then adding them up.

I can provide you with the number of New York mayors (by counting
them). However, counting each state would be extremely time-consuming.
Would the link to this database suffice as an answer to your question?

Thank you for accepting my findings as an answer to your question. The
database for US mayors is:

The U.S. Conference of Mayors

To search:

http://www.usmayors.org/USCM/cgi-bin/database_search4.asp

Leave everything blank and just enter the desired state.
Alternatively, you can specify the population of the cities. The
result will be a list of mayors located in that state, including their
contact information.


Search criteria:
"number of" mayors "in The U S" 
"number of" "mayors in The United States"
mayors "in The U S" directory OR database
