Hi tcstoy107, There are no "correct" measurements for any given size. However, here are the most proportional measurements for size 12: BUST: 34in / 87cm WAIST: 26.5in / 67cm HIP: 36cm / 92cm Sources: Butterick: Measurement Charts http://www.butterick.com/tech/charts/bmisses.html Sense and Sensibility: Pattern Measurement Chart http://www.sensibility.com/pattern/measurementchart.gif Vintage Sewing: Scale of Proportionate Measurements and Working Tables http://vintagesewing.info/1940s/4x-lgcm/lgcm-02.html I hope this is helpful. Best regards, Rainbow |

A good answer, Rainbow. However, I think dress size depends on what country one is purchasing from. I fit the measurements as outlined, but here in Canada I wear a size 7 in most clothes. When I go to the States, I usually get by on a size 9. Even my shoe size differs beteween size 6 here and size 7 in the US. Steph53 |
