What is the average number of boat break downs per day or per week or per month or per season or what is the incident % rate of boat break downs when they need to be towed? Rivers, Lakes or Ocean or all. Outboard, Inboard, Sail, mainly or will take any numbers you got. Opening a marina and need to know how many boat breakdowns there are. Thanks, Charles |

Marinas. Great moneymakers. As long as you have lifting facilities. As a former charter skipper, I've done it all as far as how much it costs to maintain a vessel, and the only winners are those who can afford to set up the infrastructure for penning the vessels and lifting them for maintenance. Most Boat owners try and save costs by doing most of the work themselves, but they HAVE to rent the pen or mooring and they HAVE to get drydocked on a regular basis. Thats where the money is. |
