uzzz-ga,

Maybe yes, maybe no.

You can search the official Bluetooth site for products that are
enabled with their short-range wireless capabilities:

http://www.bluetooth.com/products/index.asp

There are 69 products under the category of "headsets":

http://www.bluetooth.com/products/prods.asp?A=S&X=11&CAT=11&SCAT=ALL&CAT2=23

and a keyword search of this category for [ microphone ] turns up a
set of 9 products:

http://www.bluetooth.com/products/prods.asp?A=S&X=52&searchString=microphone&CAT=11&MAN=ALL&cursect=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.bluetooth.com&searchform.x=19&searchform.y=12
[I'm not sure this link will work for you, but give it a try]

There is a JABRA headset on the list, though it's certainly not an
in-the-ear microphone peice of equipment.

In fact, I'm not sure any of these qualify as actually in-the-ear, but
have a look at these two and let me know what you think:

http://www.bluetooth.com/products/prods.details.asp?CPID=1652&CAT=11

http://www.bluetooth.com/products/prods.details.asp?CPID=1295&CAT=11

The Sony is also very tiny, although the microphone is extended towards the mouth:

Hope this helps....let me know.

Good evening Paf

I have checked out the links and have sent an email to bluetooth.com
to see if they can assist. Did not find anything but did find the
names of many companies that could possibly have what I am looking
for. I am going to send out a few more emails to an variety of
manufacturers. In the Bluetooth world surely there someone must have
knowledge of earbuds with built-in microphones.

The search continues...

I'm not sure if the Bluetooth technology has been miniaturized to the
point that it will fit into an earbud piece, along with the
microphone, antenna, and whatever else would have to be smooshed in
there.

Good luck though...let me know what you find out.

Hello again Paf

The marriage of the Bluetooth technology in a headset that I seek is
not within the earbud. I do not mind the behind the ear piece. As I
understand it, today the behind the ear compartment is needed to hold
the Bluetooth receiver/ transmitter plus the biggest component- the
battery. Eventually the Bluetooth technology might be reduced in size
to fit in the ear however we are a long ways off from shrinking the
battery necessary to power the receiver/ transmitter.

I'll keep you posted

Please do (keep me posted, that is).

In the mean time, is there anything else I can do for you on this?

You were very kind in your feedback on your prior question on this
topic, but I have the feeling now you didn't quite get everything you
needed.

So...let me know if I can be of assistance.
