I am looking for an image of the entire sky that a viewer would see
looking up on any desired night. Ideally this would be similar to the
round, white on black images, that we frequently see shown alongside newspaper &
magazine articles about current night skies. The New York Times
publishes a star chart weekly in the Sunday edition that is good for
the following week.

Is there a site on the web that will produce an image of the night sky
on any given date & time at a specific latitude matching those found
in the New York Times?

Thank you

Thanks for asking for me by name. I have not found anything yet; I
hope other Researchers and Commenters may be able to help.

It is,of course, a compliment to ask for Pinkfreud personally.
However, I consider that any professional is worth at least $40- per
hour, so that offering $1.50 for this question (Researchers earn 75%
of the price of the question when they post an answer to it.) equates
to roughly 2.5 minutes of her time, hardly much of a compliment I
should say.

Good evening Pink

Your goodies were delicious! I especially enjoyed Skyview Café and
Astroviewer. My Java wouldn't function on DeepSky Live tonight.

Skyview Café was able to come very close to producing a star chart
similar to that found in the Sunday New York Times for any given time,
exact latitude & longitude. I was thrilled & amazed to see all that
the site had to offer.

My object of this exercise is to be able to generate a simple star
chart for viewing when friends come over to enjoy a summer night
outside and with these links- success! Thank you. Terrific service.

Please post the SkyView Café
http://www.skyviewcafe.com/index.php
as the Answer.

Best Regardzzz

Uzzz
