What is "good" for golf? Sure, technology has allowed average players to drive further and maybe more accurately, putt straighter. That's good for their scores, and one could argue that on crowded courses that allows more golfers on the course, since they get around faster (good for the guy running the 19th hole, too). Put that is saying that it reduces the skill required to play well, some might say, "cheapens" the game for players that really have skill. But I'm a tennis player, and do not use a small, old wooden "max-ply" racket... |
