Hi squeekey:

While Google Researchers are not medical experts and do not dispense
medical advice, it is fairly apparent to me that glomerulosclerosis
*is* considered a "kidney disease".

Some very reliable sources that verify this are:

National Kidney Foundation (US) - Focal Glomerulosclerosis
URL: http://www.kidney.org/atoz/atozItem.cfm?id=63
Quote: "Focal glomerulosclerosis is a common form of kidney disease
that may cause permanent kidney failure in children and adults."

National Kidney Foundation (UK) - Focal and segmental Glomerulosclerosis
URL: http://www.kidney.org.uk/Medical-Info/kidney-disease/fsgs.html
Quote: "This is a type of kidney disease, also called 'focal and
segmental glomerulosclerosis' or just 'focal sclerosis'."

ClinicalTrials.gov
URL: http://www.clinicaltrials.gov/ct/show/NCT00001959
Quote: Pirfenidone to Treat Kidney Disease (Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis)

Duke Center for Human Genetics
URL: http://www.chg.duke.edu/patients/fsgs.html
Quote: "Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis (FSGS) is a form of kidney
disease that causes inflammation of the "filters", or glomeruli, of
the kidneys."

Search Strategy (on Google):
* Glomerulosclerosis
* Glomerulosclerosis "kidney disease"
* Glomerulosclerosis "kidney disease" site:.gov

I hope the information in these pages and others that can be found
with the above searches helps you.
