I am a first time user of Goggle Answers.

I have been given the task of investigating this tough issue. I am
prepared to tip you generously, when I get my useful answers. I know
that the information I am after is not easy to find ;-)

We are a Linux/BSD dedicated hosting company in Europe, and I have
been given the task of setting up a comparison sheet to publish on our
web site.

I need to compare on following hardware specs. or similar:

Unmanaged dedicated server (no VPS, shared or managed)

CPU: 2.4 Ghz
Hard disk: 80 GB
RAM: 512
IP's: 20
Full root access/SSH2

My most important concerns are comparison of providers ability to let
customers perform a range of 24/7 server hardware related services
remotely, such as:

Remote reboot/hardware reset
Remote turnOFF/turnON power
Console access or similar
Other remote Server Tools (system repair, single-user mode firewall
reset,  disk reformat etc.)

Also price per month is important. 

If you could come up with 3 European wellknown and branded dedicated
hosting companies it would be great. If one or two of the companies
are US or Canada based, it is allright.

I do not need comparison on traffic/bandwidth/control panel software,
and I do not care if the companies in question are offering VPS's,
shared plans or the like, as long as they have dedicated servers also.
