Hi ambicion6,

The following information is offered by an Iraqi friend of mine.

The Saddam Hussein regime championed the Palestinian cause and the
Holy Rock Dome is situated in Jerusalem which is considered in the
Arab world to be the capital of Palestine. The writing in Arabic in
the left corner is the translation for Rock Dome (Qubbat Al Sakhrah).
The Arabic numbers situated vertically on the right-hand side of the
note is the serial number.

If this information is sufficient as an answer to your question,
please let me know so I can post it as such.

Best regards,
Rainbow

so then the text on the left side of the bill (next to saddams face)
is the translation for the "rock of dome"

http://imagehost.vendio.com/preview/te/technologyoncall/pnew250dinarfront800.jpg

There are 6 lines of arabic text. starting from the top in the oval
purpley shape (someone told me this is Central Bank of Iraq) .
Someone gave me this info: (if you could clarify or confirm that would
basically answer my question!!!)

well at the top right in that purple rectangle it says "central bank of iraq"
then under that it says "250 dinars"
and the smaller font sentence under that, i cant get all of it because
its all squashed together but i got this "bank note produced
............. the law".
then theres a signature
then the small word over the numbers i can read but i ahve no idea what it means
then the numbers say 2002 and 1422 (the arabic yr)
and the three big numbers are 250!

Hi ambicion6,

Firstly, I would like to apologize for any confusion I may have caused
in my clarification.

The Arabic translation for Rock Dome is written above the English
(Rock Dome) on the bottom note of the first page you provided.

http://www.islamicbanknotes.com/Newnotes/Iraq-2002.htm

The text in the purple rectangle means Central Bank of Iraq. Under
that is "250 dinars" written in words.

Beneath that it says "bank note produced by legal tender". Then it is
signed by the Governor (Muhafiz), presumably by the Governor of the
Central Bank of Iraq.

Under this, next to the number 1422, there is an Arabic "h" signifying
the Islamic "Hijri" year. Next to the number 2002, there is an Arabic
"m" meaning "Miladi", which is the calendar that is used in the West.

I hope this is helpful. If you have any questions regarding my answer
please don't hesitate to ask before rating.

Best regards,
Rainbow
