People generally understand that distance vector protocols behave
badly on "bad news" -that is, when a link goes down. However, they can
behave badly on good news, too! What is the worst-case number of
distance vector messages that might be generated as a result of a
single node's coming up in a network? Remember, you can postulate any
topology, any assignment of link costs, and any timing of message
generation and delivery.
