This merchandise will come from China(naturally)and will contain a
musical movement.A tune in public domain has no royality fee. This
usually means that the music was copyrighted befor 1922.
So if I find a tune that fits the subject matter. Then I need to know
whether it is apublic domain. So I need a source that I can ask the
date it was orginally produced.
That is why I need to know the published date.
Does this help or make it more confusing.
Thanks for your help,
Dick

"You Are My Sunshine by Jimmie Davis" is still under copyright
protection and is currently one of the most valuable. This was
re-recorded by Davis in 1998 which extends the original copyright by
95 years from that date, mainly due to the <a

Bono Act</a>.
