I am looking for a website that offers the same service as
PrintButton.com, but that is not located in the UK. (Exchange rates
make any UK-based services cost-inefficient).

PrintButton.com is a service that lets you sell prints of your photos
online without having to upload them to their site beforehand. This
seems perfect for my website, which will be selling computer art
generated dynamically by site users.

With PrintButton.com you simply place a link on your site (e.g. "Buy
this Photo as a Print!") that calls a JavaScript from the
PrintButton.com website, telling it the URL/id of the image (located
on your own website). The user is then taken to the PrintButton.com
website which downloads the photo from your website for printing
(based on the URL you sent it), collects payment from the user,
dispatches the prints and credits your account with the sale amount
(less the PrintButton.com cut).

You can see an example of this in action at www.freefoto.com. e.g:
http://www.freefoto.com/preview.jsp?id=15-19-1
(Look for the "Buy a Print to Frame" link)

Preferably I would like the service to be without a set up fee and be
able to create not only prints, but also photo gifts (particularly
posters, mousemats, mugs, etc).

Note: I have found many US, European and Australasian online photo
printing services, but almost all of them require you to upload photos
manually to their server and "set up" the products you want to sell.

Cheers,

Al

Al,

I was reading your question, and I saw a few sites around the internet
that may be what you're looking for.

The first one that popped to mind, if you want to be putting images on
things and selling them, is Cafepress.com. You give them an image,
and they'll digitally put it on everything from baseball caps to
mousepads, to coffeemugs, and everything in between.

If you're looking to get a print from a professional photo, there's
always Corbis.com. Thousands of professional images, and depending on
what you're planning on doing with the photo, prices are more-or-less
negotiable.

I hope this helps, and is what you're looking for.

Thanks for your comment Toobis, but I'm not sure you understand what I'm after.

I've seen CafePress.com (and the many other similar sites), but what I
need is the kind of service where I don't have to manually upload
every image that I want to sell. The usual procedure with these sites
is:
 1) You set up an account.
 2) Upload your image to their server.
 3) Pick the products you want to sell.
 4) Link to the Buy Now pages of the products you've just created.

However as I outline in my original question, I don't want to have to
upload each image, but instead just link to the photo processing site
with an image URL and product type, and have the CafePress.com-esque
site fetch the photo from the web itself.

I also know of Corbis.com, but they sell stock photography. I'm
looking for a website that will help me sell photo prints of my own
photos.

Thanks for trying.
