the best thing to do is use task manager on processes look for something that might relate to it. then delete temp internet files. also check add/remove programs:P most tool ars can be found on there just different names or multiple programs and delete anything on reg edit in start up that should do it |

i had the same problem. first of all, elitebar adds its self to the start up regestry. you can get there by typing MSCONFIG into your run box (start>run). there are a couple of tabs, click on the last tab that says "startup" you will see something called elite. uncheck the box, and that prevents it from starting up with your computer. but the problem is its still there. so now you need to remove it. either you can run your antivirus software, nortan anti virus 2005 can detect it. but if your anti software does not detect it, try this. http://housecall.trendmicro.com/housecall/start_corp.asp this is a free virus scan, that is updated almost everyday. its very very reliable. after that do this. http://housecall60.trendmicro.com/en/start_corp.asp?id=scan after all that, it should be removed. thanks you. |
