Dear Randy, I am not sure if this is an "impressive sounding word" but it is the only one that has the same "repeating" meaning as annuity: "rente". (SOURCE: Answer.com and Wordnet: <http://www.answers.com/main/ntquery?method=4&dsid=501&dekey=rente&gwp=8&curtab=501_1>). Another word might be "allowance" or "stipend", or as Bryan suggested, "royalty" (if you're referring to the money received). Dictionary.com 's thesaurus also offers "acquisition" and "revenue". I hope this answers your question. Please contact me if you need any clarification on this answer before you rate it. while doing my own research I ran into the rente several times but I need a word or phrase that can be used in a solicitation letter to individuals that may be in the market to buy an annuity. However, variable annuities have such a bad reputation that even though i don't sell them, I sell equity indexed annuities, people associate the two....so I need something that says equity indexed stocks or equity indexed bonds or something that means the same as annuities....anywhere else you can check? |

Hi, Randy As Tamar said, there is nothing quite like 'annuity' and 'rente' doesn't sound at all impressive. Therefore, we shall have to make up a new word. How about EquiFunds? (c) Copyright Probonopublico 2005 This exciting new term can only be used subject to Royalties. |

Thank you for the rating. I'll try to think of another term, but sometimes it seems that there is no one word, and it might be the best to use the whole term. |

For $ 5 you don't get much that is impressive sounding (smirk) What about "income premium"? |
