Marylynn,

Here is one movie about the Peace Corps starring Tom Hanks.

Volunteers (1985)

?Tom Hanks stars as Lawrence, a rich kid with a bad accent and a large
debt. After his father refuses to help him out, Lawrence escapes his
angry debtors by jumping on a Peace Corp flight to Southeast Asia,
where is assigned to build a bridge for the local villagers with
American-As-Apple-Pie WSU Grad Tom Tuttle and the beautiful and
down-to earth Beth Wexler.?

Marylynn --

I did a Google site: search on IMDB.com for "Peace Corps" and it turns
up 477 results. Some are rather spurious, such as the reference to
Ted & Elaine, pilot and stewardess who were former lovers in
"Airplne!" You may recall that they were PCVs in Africa, where she
taught the natives the benefits of Tupperware and and he taught
basketball.
