I'm trying to find a website on which I can track the progress of
funds in an IRA account, as one might do on MarketWatch. While I have
been able to find such sites for my 401k's funds, I have not been able
to do so for the following IRA funds:

CR SUISSE GLPSTVENCAP PORT (Credit Suisse)
DREY STOCK INDEX FUND IS (Dreyfus)
GRTMRE GVIT GROWTH I (Gartmore)
OPPNHMR CAP APPR FD/VA IC (Oppenheimer)

What I'd like is a website where I can definitely find this
information. I would like their stock symbols, as I've not been able
to find those either. Charts and the like would be nice. I am not
interested in prospecti, but something more dynamic that I can check
on an on-demand basis.

Can someone comment as to the feasibility of this question?

Thanks!

The abbreviations of those funds are so peculiar looking that its very
hard to know quite what to make of them.

For instance, here's a link to a list of Credit Suisse funds:

http://finance.yahoo.com/l?s=credit+suisse&t=M

Which one of these -- if any -- corresponds to GLPSTVENCAP PORT is hard to say.

Your IRA account manager should certainly be able to clarify things.
Have you asked them?

I'm actually trying to manage this account for a relative. I took
those abbreviations directly from the account management site. The
account's web site does a decent job of tracking performance, but it's
not quite good enough. I'm more accustomed to 401(k) accounts whose
funds are easy to locate online, and then create portfolios on
MarketWatch that make tracking simpler. I suppose the best resolution
is to ask the account manager.

Maybe it's my lack of understanding of IRA accounts.

Thanks!
Mike

GRTMRE GVIT GROWTH I
may be a bond, rather than a mutual fund:

"GRTMRE-GVIT Government Bonds"

http://stockcharts.com/symsearch?gartmore (has a long list of
potential candidates) again, if this is a bond, it would not show up
on this list
nor on any other list of mutual funds.

But I would call below if I were you to double-check.
