My HP 318 digital camera is not working correctly. When I go to take a
picture it makes a grinding noise and says error 108 and onl;y takes a
garbled picture. It was dropped a few days back, but it worked fine
after that, so I'm not sure what's wrong with it.

you seem to have posted this question (in a slightly different form)
twice and may want to remove one or the other to avoid duplicate
charges.

it would seem that the act of dropping the camera has probably caused
the subsequent functionality problems that you are having and perhaps
a visit to your local digital camera repair shop/service centre is in
order.
