arioch --

Are you looking for the name(s) of Carlyle's in-house general
coundel(s) during that period or for the name of their primary outside
law firm, or both?

Hi,

I know the first name of the individual was Lee or Leigh.

He died in April 2004 after returning to private practice in NYC.

His remaining family, mother, live in NY state.

Very Best,
Bob

arioch-ga,

If you're looking for information about a particular person who worked
at Carlyle at one time, it may not be productive to be asking for a
list of EVERY legal counsel at Carlyle from 1998-2003...researchers
will have a hard time producing such a list.

Instead, tell us as much as you can about the individual in question.
As long as your question stays within the guidelines for Google
Answers (we cannot provide private information for living persons),
then we may be able to better assist you.

Thanks,

The individual is deceased.

At death was about 48 years old.

First name Lee.

Beside having a law degree, received MBA from University of Michigan
in the early 80's.

Multi-lingual, in particular Oriental languages like Vietnamese.

Never married.

Probably left Carlyle in late 2001 or early 2002. Then entered private
practice in NYC.

Died of an aggressive cancer in April 2004.

arioch --

Was his law degree also from U. of Michigan? And do you have any clue
at all --even the roughest idea -- about his last name?

Word to the wise: The answer can be found in the 02/14/2001 form SC
13G SEC filing of VARSITY GROUP INC. Clue: It is the same person who
is currently listed on the website as General Counsel.

If only I were certified as a researcher, I'd be $50 richer . . .

I AM AMAZED -- I HAVE POSTED THE ANSWER IN A COMMENT, FOR FREE, AND NO
ONE SEEMS TO HAVE NOTICED.

THE GENERAL COUNSEL THEN IS THE SAME AS THE GENERAL COUNSEL TODAY.
