This is my first time on answers.google? so bear with me. If you have
any questions or if the price is to low for what I?m asking for,
please let me know.

Ok so here?s the scenario: I?ve just produced/completed an
instructional wedding how-to video (www.howtodoweddings.com). The
video basically goes through and shows every aspect of a ?wedding
production.? The video covers the topics of napkin folds, cake
decorating, gift table set-up, scheduling, room set-up, wedding
flowers? to name a few. I?m not sure what?s the best way to promote
this video, whether to just advertise it our self or find some sort of
person to promote, ?manage it? and ?sell it?.

My goal is to get this video out nationally. So far it is on
Amazon.com. So the question I have is:

1. How do we promote this video?
2. Is there some sort of ?promotional manager? who can promote/market
this video. If so, please give me a list of contacts.
3. Or information/advice that can help us get this product out there.

In this day and age, self-promotion can work in
your best interest. You could find a big distribution
house to handle all of your promotion, or you could do
it yourself or with the assistance of a Virtual Assistant,
and you can make a lot more money for yourself in that you
get to keep a larger percentage of the take.

A number of my own clients are self-published book writers.
I am not sure any of them have video's per se, but books are
not that much different.

You have got to remember that Amazon is just a distribution
outlet. It is not the end goal at all.

My clients write short informational articles that would be
of interest to their potential clients.

For example, in your case, you might do 500 words on how to
buy a wedding dress. Or, what to expect when shopping for a
dress. You might consider a short article on finding a
preacher if you don't go to church. You could consider an
article on planning on how many guests will actually show
up for the big event.

My point here is that by targeting your content to the people
who are most likely to buy your product, you are setting a
stage for self-promotion that is hard to beat.

If you don't feel that you are a good writer, then you can
hire someone to do that task for you.

What happens when you finish writing your article, you will
want to send the article out as a free-reprint articles to
publishers and webmasters who are looking for free content...
my specialty.

You get your article into the digital publishing marketplace,
and then ezine publishers put it in their ezines, and webmasters
put it on their websites. Most people who publish the article
will already have an audience interested in the subjects you
are dealing with. Both publishers and webmasters generally know
their client base, and they want to provide content that is
relevent to their readers and visitors.

If your article is sent to thousands of readers and posted on
dozens of websites that cater to your target market, then you
will have your ad in front of the people most likely to buy
your product.

It is important to note that you should not sell your product
in your article. Instead, at the end of your article is what
is called a Resource Box, or About the Author Information. In
your Resource Box is where you should tell the people who have
read your article that you have produced a video that will help
them through this stressful period with the planning of their
wedding, and here is your link to your website. Get them to your
website so that they can get the full picture of what your video
can do for them, and then give them an easy way to buy it.

It is also important to note that your Resource Box should not
exceed 5 to 9 lines of text at 65 characters wide. As I noted
before, your goal is to get these people to your website.

If you want a free place to submit your articles once they have
been written, then go here:

There are many services available where you can submit your
articles to a larger audience for a fee. Mine is one of them.
It does not matter that you use a free or fee service, just
make sure that you get your articles out to an audience.

And finally, don't rest on your laurels. One article is not
going to make you a millionaire. You should write and distribute
articles consistently for best results.

As I mentioned at the beginning of my comments, many of my
clients promote their own books and do very well using free
reprint articles as one of their promotional methods.

I would also recommend getting a Google Adwords account to
hit some of the other keywords that your articles may not
pick up. Don't bid big dollars on your Adwords, and make
sure to keep yourself on budget.

Sometimes, multiple words are better for business, one because
they are cheaper, but also words less searched. Secondly, and
possibly more importantly, multiple words are better targeted
to the needs of your actual buying customers.
