I would like to find a specific poem about entering manhood. This
poem, or script was read by the actor Harvey Keitel in a television
commercial that was aired sometime between 2000-2003 in Europe. I
believe the commercial was advertising a watch but I'm not certain of
the detail. Throughout most of the commercial Keitel was simply
reciting this poem. I don't recall the words but it was in effect
prose that a father would say to a son explaining what qualities he
would have that would cause him to recognize that he was now a man. I
have searched on Keitel webpages and poetry webpages to no avail. I
specifically want the poem or commercial script. I'm not interested
in Harvey Keitel per see or what he was advertising.

Harvey Keitel once read this poem in a television commercial. Please
let me know if this is the poem you're seeking; if so, I'll be glad to
repost this as your official Answer.

"If"

If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you
But make allowance for their doubting too,
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise:
If you can dream--and not make dreams your master,
If you can think--and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build 'em up with worn-out tools:

If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it all on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breathe a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: "Hold on!"

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with kings--nor lose the common touch,
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you;
If all men count with you, but none too much,
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And--which is more--you'll be a Man, my son!

I have now found online verification that definitely identifies
Kipling's "If" as your poem.

As noted by purplecloud in comments below, UBS (Union Bank of
Switzerland) had a television advertising campaign in which well-known
actors read poems. One of the actors was Harvey Keitel, and he read
the poem "If," by Rudyard Kipling.

"Other works for Harvey Keitel...

"Some years ago I saw on tv an advertising campaign... It was popular
actors reading good pieces of poetry... I remember Harvey Keitel
reading Kipling's "If".

Dear Morisszr
 Did this commercial feature Harvey against a plain black background?
If so, I believe it was one of a series of commercials sponsored by
UBS, the Union Bank of Switzerland. A number of other famous actors,
including Ben Kingsley, recited other poems. A wonderful series of
commericials, well worth repeated viewing.
  Perhaps some of the researchers know how to contact UBS?

Back again!
 The advertising links at the UBS site don't seem to be working well,
but you can see some of the poems used in the commercials at this URL:
