I need an overhead map of:
-The Roman Forum area (a complex of buildings)
-At the time of Caesar's assassination (44 B.C.)

I can find some at the time of Augustus, but I need to know what the
area looked like at the point of the assassination.

The Regents of the University of California have created an
interactive map where you select the year and a map of forum area is
created with the buildings which were standing at that relevant time
highlighted in blue. There is also a guide to each building and its
history. It only seems to work in Internet Explorer and you will
appreciate it better if you press your F11 key when viewing it.

You can save the background map but not which buildings are highlighted.

I have posted this as a clarification to give you the opportunity to
