I am trying to find a company that produces bullets that carry micro
chip in the bullet head. These would be used for shooting animals that
then could be tracked by GPS or satelite.

Any leads?

I doubt if such a thing exists, but I'm prepared to be enlightened.

It would really surprise me if a microdhip could withstand the
crushing pressures of impact with an animal.

I did the following search:

The other thought that I had was from watching too many spy movies
which feature a plot line where the hero fires a tracking bug onto a
passing vehicle which then allows it to be tracked. Not sure if this
is real technology but it sounds too good not to be true.

It's because a few weeks ago some commenters who had their own
websites were basically spamming Google Answers by posting the URL's
here in the hope that their websites would get a better ranking from
Google.  The editors then removed the ability for commenters to post
hyperlinks, that ability is now only available to Google Answers
researchers.
