Can you help me find the source for this quotation: "Hermann Goering was a fat hot air balloon tethered by his ego to Adolph Hitler" I may not have the EXACT wording; the actual quotation may be some variant of the above. Thanks, Mike Scott |

Just a guess, that it sounds like Albert Speer. "Hitler's architect" spent the remainder of his life apologizing for his involvement and finding sarcastic remarks about fellow Nazi's satisfying. Goering and Speer were in conflict over Hitler's admiration. |

Yes, it does. Speer wrote his autobiography when in prison: Spandauer Tagebuch, and maybe an earlier work. My amateurish searches to find the quotation in German were unsuccessful - which doesn't mean much. |
