song phrase "I thought you were gone forever." I think it is a country
(romantic) song. 1920-1970 My grandfather sang it to us years ago. so
for sentimental reasons i would like to find it.

There's a song at the bottom called "Hello Heart." The copywrite date
is wrong, but it was the only thing I could find. Maybe someone else
will have better luck.

thanks for the answers but it is not Clementine or Hello heart. the
male singer sang it very slowly - I thought you....were gone..forever.
I have hunted everywhere I could think of on google, dogpile and can't
find it. I was assuming it had to be an "oldie" because I haven't
heard it in years. So I was assuming it was before 1975 because that
was when my grandfather passed away. Ir was grandpa' way of telling us
he missed us. We lived in Quebec and he lived in the Yukon and we
went to see him every two years. thanks and I hope you can find it.

thanks for you previous answer but not the correct song. I think the
phrase in the song was "I thought that you were gone forever and now
you're here with me again."
