My brother is a Canadian citizen living in Toronto, Ontario. I am a
U.S. citizen living in Minnesota, USA. How can I sponsor my brother so
that he can come live with me and obtain U.S. citizenship?

Hi cloudreaver,

Your brother was born in Canada? In what year? What was the
citizenship of each of his parents at the time of his birth?

Thanks, hummer

My brother is a naturalized Canadian citizen. He was a vietnamese
refuge who came to Canada when he was a teenager, with my parents and
the rest of my family. Last year he graduated with a Computer
Engineering degree from the University of Waterloo in Ontario.
However, the job market is much better in the U.S. He wants to come
work in the U.S. eventually. Rather than have a company sponsor him as
an international worker (which is extremely difficult), I would rather
sponsor him as my brother first. Then he can find work when he is over
here in the U.S.
The citizenship of our parents at the time of his birth was Vietnam. I
believe that both my parents, and my entire family (3 brothers 1
sister), are naturalized Canadian citizens.

Thanks,
-Cloudreaver
