I am having a problem with a living room suit I purchased from a furniture store. I have tried to resolve the issue with no success. Without too much confrontation I would like to resolve the issue legally but at the same time have the company take me seriously. From the research I have gathered online I should follow the steps below: 1 - Call or visit the business, speak to the manager and explain the issue in attempt to resolve the complaint. 2 - Send a letter with all receipts by recorded delivery and keep a copy. 3 - Give the trader 10 days to respond. 4 - Send a follow up letter threatening publicly releasing the issue. Anything to add? Also, I would like to know a list of U.S. consumer protection laws. |

Call the manager, ask for meeting. Call District Manager or Owner and ask for meeting. Document everything. Send letters, as indicated. Most businesses will resolve complaint, once District Mgr, or Owner are involved.... |

Have you asked your Better Business Bureau? In some civilized countries, there are customer protection laws that usually in some way require a commercial seller to provide goods that have no faults, that they must either correct the problem or provide an acceptable replacement, or refund your money. |
