Hi axil221,

Please try this and let me know if it works:

Start > Programs > Microsoft Office > Microsoft Word.

Right click Microsoft Word. Go down to "Send To". Click on Desktop (create
shortcut).

The "Word" icon should now appear on the desktop.

Waiting to hear from you.

Best regards,
Rainbow

Please note following correction.I am looking for WinWord or Word97
which is suitable for my application,(allthough Word97 is available on
my nearly unusable original computer with Window Millenium,it needs
reformatting)
I tried what you suggested.WinWord not being
where "Rainbow" said it was,in programs,Microsoft office,Microsoft
word.
However I found WinWord(read only attribute) at something like
c:tempfiles/programfiles/WinWord on the computer in question.
After left clicking the WinWord icon, the following error showed up.
"The application must be installed to run. Please run Setup from the
location where you originally installed the application"
Please clarify how I can get WinWord to open up.

Since I am getting a bit stressed. Please comment on following idea.
Would it be be possible to copy Word97 from my original computer to
computer in question?
If so how do I go about it?Perhaps change attributes?

The only way to use Word97 in your new computer system is by
reinstalling it again from the Office 97 CD.
If you need help with this task let me know.

WINWORD and put it on my computer which now runs windows
Millenium(upgraded by myself from 98) WINWORD will not run. Please
explain why.
Also I do not have word97 on disc, any comments please.
An idea what if I opened the cab files on my windows millenium
disc, one of these should have Word suitable for my use,a document
file.

Hi!!

Just copying Winword to your computer does not work, you need to
install it using the installation CD, because during the installation
the program copies itself into your system and also modify your system
(specially the registry) to make it able to work with it, please
delete what you was copy and install it.
