I'm looking for a product or system that will repair small scratches in the clearcoat of auto paint without the use of abrasives. The repair HAS to be guaranteed permanent though. So far the best I have found is a product called "Glare" http://www.autopolish.net/ but this is only guaranteed for 5 years and that is no good. It HAS to be permanent. There is some cutting edge nano technology happening with coatings at the moment. From my research so far it seems that the particular field of interest is called "nanoparticle reinforced polymer composites". Someone told me that they had seen an tv ad in Germany for this kind of product. I can read German and tried doing a search on german Google but could not find anything apart from the fact that Mercedes have a new clearcoat on their cars which incorporates ceramic particles using nano technology. |
