Doesn't everyone know what beadswax is? I didn't either: it's some material you can spread on gourds - hence also called gourdwax - and then press beads into to form allover designs, apparently like the Huichol Indians in Mexico do or did. Here are a couple sites: http://www.sycamore-creek.com/beadswax.htm http://www.gourdwax.com It's a mixture of bees wax and pine resin and things no one seems willing to reveal. Keoni-, you knew all that, of course. The other ingredients must make the "wax" remain stiff even in warm weather (Mexico). Polymer resin these days? Any ideas out there? |
