I'm looking for the meaning of a name for a friend of mine.  She's not
quite sure if there's any real meaning to it and I'm pretty emphatic
about there being one, so as a gift I'd like to find it out and give it
to her in a special way.  Her name is Arys, I only found one match on
google and it referred to a river in Kazakhstan that was of historical
significance to a city named Otrar.  The city laid where the Arys
river and the Syrdaria river confluence.  Please help.  thanks.  Jason

some new age, this is your personality thing.  Just the origin of her

Okay so I upped the price once more.  My friends birthday is on May
15th.  I appreciate all your help, and if you can't find it, so be it.
 I know it's a difficult name and I've exhausted my resources so

And you have probably long since discovered that it is a male first
name in Spanish, possibly a version of Ares, the Greek god of war.
Arys is also a place in Poland in the area that once belonged to
Germany, but that isn't much help either.
