I would like to know the popularity of a few web languages in terms of how many people actually use them. I specifically want head counts for each, but general statistics are great too. The languages I need numbers on are: - HTML (Yes, I know it's not a real language but I still want numbers) - Javascript - PHP - ASP - JSP Thanks! |

These sources are by no means exhaustive, and more information would certainly be useful to paint an even clearer picture of programming language usage. I thought that in order to measure a programming languages popularity you would have to find out how many people were perhaps using search engines to use that language. I hope that this link helps http://www.dedasys.com/articles/language_popularity.html There are a couple of different surveys there. Enjoy |
