I am compiling a report on consumer computing trends. Specifically I
am interested in the consumer's need for a mobile computing
environment. I have identified sychronization, remote PC access (PC
Anywhere, GoToMY PC, etc.), backup software & service, thumb drives,
and Web-Based services (web e-mail, web-base contact list i.e. Yahoo,
MSN, AIM,) as trends that show this growing demand. I am interested in
historic and projected user numbers for these 6 categories; 1 -
sychronization software, 2 - remote PC access software, 3 - remote
web-based back-up services, 4 - Thumbdrives, 5 - Web-based e-mail
services, 6 - Instant messaging users.
