I'm looking for a good bed and breakfast about an hour's drive northeast of Portland, Maine for my wife and I to celebrate our 1-year anniversary. I would prefer to have it in close proximity of a national park with hiking trails. Where would you suggest I look? |

Dear Steve, There is a problem with your request (which is probably why it hasn't been answered yet). The national parks in Maine are more than an hour drive from Portland. Mount Desert Island, a great place to hike to the Acadia National Park, is more than an hour (I'd say about 2 hours) drive from Portland. You can see a list of Bed and Breakfast here: Bed and Breakfast <http://www.bedandbreakfast.com/southwest-harbor-maine.html>. This is only one town and I recommend this site also for other destinations, as I was very satisfied with it. Maine Downeast Bed and Breakfast <http://www.bbonline.com/me/region3.html> I hope this answers your question. Please contact me if you need any clarification on this answer before you rate it. |
