I'm considering going to graduate school for music but I'm worried about the availability of jobs for me when I finish. I would like to have some statistics on the number of students graduating from music schools and the number who find work in music fields. I only need information from the better schools, lets say top 30 or 20. I would like more specific information on the number of graduates from music schools who get degrees as conductors and others who get degrees in music theory who then find jobs as music professors or professional conductors. Since I?m considering studying both theory and conducting I?d like to know how many actually get jobs in those fields. Also any data on simply the availability of jobs for music professors or conductors would be helpful. I don?t know where to go to find data on the number of conductors positions available for example. |
