Need suggestions for restuarants and bars for the first weekend of
Jazz fest this year (4/22-4/24 2005). Am going with a group of women -
we're renting a house in the garden district and would like
suggestions for both casual dining and one night where we'd go a
little higher end (not too reserved or formal - just nicer meals
etc.). Also looking for great bar suggestions for a large group (16 of
us).

A $50 answer has restaurnat and bar listings as well as any Garden
District highlights - we'll likely be at Jazz Fest 2 days in the
Friday, Saturday and Sunday window - so any suggestions for first time
Jazz fest visitors greatly appreciated.

This is a fantastical answer in it's depth/breadth. My request would
have been - ironically - for alittle more focus. Since many of the
lists of restaurants and bars are available - some editing around
"favorites" or "recommended for a large group" would have been quite
helpful. That minor point said - the suggestions are greatly
appreciated.
