Question ID: 508033
I have decided to start a business on eBay and I want to sell DVD's I
have all the re-sellers/liscenses I need

I have done a search for Wholesale DVD sellers and I even paid for a
Wholesale list I found a few. One of which is Ingram Entertainment
which is supposedly the cheapest around.

The only part I am having trouble with is the wholesale distributors
I have found charge way to much for example the wholesale
price of a DVD is $21.00 and they expect me to sell it for $29.00 even
though I can buy it much cheaper via ebay or online stores like
Dvdplanet.com. So my question is where are these sucessful ebay
sellers such as glacierbaydvd getting the items to sell? Obvioulsy it
can and is being done.

Very few get rich quick scemes work. The wholesale DVD thing sounds to
good to be true and probaly is. If it was real easy then everyone
would be doing it. Go out and get a regular job and work for your
pennies like so many others.

May the Lord lead you, and you be wise enough to follow.

A lot of DVDs are now being produced in China and some are sold
directly from there.

I guess it's always going to be difficult to compete with pirates.

Get rich quick? I have put a lot of time and money into this venture
and it is hard work. I make plenty of money and am wanting to expand
my operations into the DVD maret place. Ingram is the source for many
local video stores including Hollywood video. The examples I gave
they are not pirates or get rich quick companies. They are legitimate
business if anyone has any helpful advice I would appreciate it.

Review this link: http://www.cityweekend.com.cn/en/shanghai/features/2004_16/Word_DVD

I can buy DVD's on any street corner for around $1.

Our local DVD rental place buys their DVDs not through a wholesaler,
but through Wal-Mart, which is cheaper. I've also noticed that many
who sell DVDs on eBay are buying DVDs, ripping them, and keeping the
copies for themselves. This is why so many listings say the DVD has
been viewed once.

I am not talking about pirated or import DVD's, I am well aware you
can buy such things. I am talking about region 1 US/CAN legit DVD's
that is why I used glacierbaydvd and DVDplanet as examples.
