When you mean a "major corporation," do you mean one listed on the
Fortune 500?  There's a list of the fortune 500 at
http://www.fortune500.com and you can look for their headquarters one
by one.

A list of all the corporations headquartered in the state would be a
tall order, numbering in the hundreds, if not thousands.   I doubt
you'd find a satisfactory answer for $2.00.  You'd have better luck if
you narrowed your search: perhaps limit it to publicly traded
corporations.

As you can see, in February 2002 there were 281,355 active
corporations in Michigan. That doesn't include limited liability
companies, which would add another 127,921. Whew.
