What percentage of Americans had access to the Internet (either via work, school, or home) during the following years: 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, and 2004? I already know the percentage of Americans who had online access (1995-21.0%, 2000-66.9%, 2001-72.3%, 2002-71.1%, 2003 75.9%) from digitalcenter.org. |

The U.S. census bureau has the data you're looking for, except that it leaves out the 'school' category. The link to 1997-1999 data is here: http://www.census.gov/prod/www/statistical-abstract-us.html A quick summary says: 1997:46,305/193,462=24% 1998:62,273/195,192=31% 1999:83,677/197,462=42% Unfortunately, I couldn't find 1996 or 2004 data. |
