Paramaters:

I'm trying to research a Higher Education policy for undergraduates --
in particular tailored to Business Colleges in Carnegie I research
institutions, but the search parameter could include any College
within any publicly funded Carnegie I research institution as well.

Background:

Typically, there is a deadline to drop classes for each semester. The
policy is fairly consistent in most accredited universities that if
you miss the deadline, students have the right to appeal and petition
to still have their course dropped provided that they have an argument
that they missed the deadline due to circumstances outside of their
control.

Question:

Could you give me a list of schools within the search parameters that
have a "grace period of 24 hours." That is to say, are there any
Carnegie I research institutions that have the policy of still
accepting drop request 24 hours after the deadline without the need to
petition? Or, even with a petition, there is a lack policy as long as
it is within a certain time frame?

This might be a difficult project so please let me know if there's
anything to which I can clarify.

I'll definitely tip if I can get the information I need given that
right now this affects me personally.

How about clarifying which colleges you are most interested in knowing
about? Is there a list of the colleges you would like us to consider
and research?

I, for one, have no idea who the Carengie I Business College research
institutions are, and rather than add to an already complex research
task, it would be better if you could pinpoint where we should be
looking.

Just my two cents...

Have you tried buttering up the people at the desk, personality goes a
long way you know. Try the oh my gosh, I am so stupid approach. Be
real, be bumbling, and ask for forgiveness. Believe it or not some
people will just help you out if you ask for it.

Good Luck.
