I'm looking for a reputable place in my area that will repair inkjet
printers. Specifically, the problem with my printer (that I highly
suspect is the case) is that my printer heads are clogged with dried
ink. It simply will not print certain colors, and when it does print,
it's very blurred and smudged. I'd clean it out myself if I knew how,
but I'd prefer it to be done by someone who knows what they're doing.

My printer model is an Epson Stylus CX5400 (it's an all-in-one that
has an attached scanner). I wish it were as simple as changing the ink
cartridges or running the self-clean operation several times. I've
tried both options and neither has worked (in fact I think I may have
made it worse by doing so). I suppose this will be a learning lesson
for me and it'll teach me to use my printer more often instead of not
printing anything for 2 months straight. I like this printer very
much, and I'd prefer not to just simply buy a new one.

I'm looking specifically for businesses that will help me in the St.
Paul, MN metro area (specifically White Bear Lake). Anything in the
Twin Cities metro area is fair game for me I suppose, but of course
I'd prefer anything that's closer to home. Ideally, I'd prefer a list
with at least 5 businesses in the area who can repair printers/clean
printer heads. I have tried Computer Renaissance in Maplewood, MN and
they don't work with printers, and the people at Best Buy in Maplewood
(the store where I originally bought the printer) said they don't do
that either (although I'm not entirely sure because the person I spoke
with said up front that they didn't know for sure). I'd like to avoid
Best Buy if possible, but will accept it as part of the list if better
options are not available.

Any help would be highly appreciated, and the better the list, the
better the tip. ;)

    I've collected a list of repair centers for you. Nothing turned up
in White Bear Lake itself, but I've found quite a few places in the
Twin Cities area.
From personal experience with my Epson inkjet printer, you may want to
contact the Epson recommended repair centers first. It may be possible
for you to mail your
printer to them, and have them ship it back to you. My printer that
shortly after I bought it, and Epson sent me a replacement printer,
even before I returned the broken one... and Epson paid for
shipping.If your warranty is still in effect, you may be surprised and
have this happen to you!

  If the Epson recommended centers below don't pan out, try calling
the repair shops  further below that are closest to you. Keep in mind
that some of these businesses don't include "printer repair" in their
names, and not all of them may repair printers. I'm certain that not
all of the repair centers in this list will be able to work on your
printer, but I'm willing to bet you'll find at least 5!  Ask each
place you call, that does not perform printer repairs, for suggestions
as to who does work on Epson All-in-Ones. You may see a pattern
emerging when several places recommend the same repair center!

  In the future, if you leave your printer unused for a time, at least
print a test page once a week or so, to keep the printer primed.
