I am looking for information on becoming a financial loan broker. I know this is common in real estate but my idea was to market to and target people that have difficulty securing auto loans or leases primarily. (1)Can you show any examples of small to medium businesses doing something similar with success(without being an auto dealer)? (2)What financial institutions are open to working with independant brokers? (3) In the state of Texas what licenses or certification would I be expected to have in place other then a standard business license? |

A word of warning regarding this business. It is almost impossible for banks themselves to compete against the auto companies financing arms for auto loan and leasing business. There are no banks willing to offer 0% financing. |

Thank you for the comment. I agree it woudl be impossible to compete at 'regular' rates. That said most bad credit loans are usually quite high. |
