I'm trying to find the value of a German coin - 1877 5-Mark Kaiser
Wilhelm King of Prussia, C edition.  The coin has been set into a
ring.

The value of a coin can vary 10-fold or more depending on its
condition, so no one would be able to give you a firm value without
seeing it.  Also, I rather suspect that having it set into a ring
could decrease its value.

It will also depend on how it has been set into the ring.  ie has it
been 'fixed' to the ring, soldered. Or is it held in place by a 'claw'
