Recently I saw in a design magazine a contemporary chandelier made of
individual 1"-2" thick glass plates sandwiched together in a metal
rectangular fitting that was suspended from the ceiling. Who
manufacturers something like this?

A picture would probably be helpful...But do check the magazine
itself. Usually in the back pages of such magazines there's a section
called "Sources" (or something similar) where the makers and contact
information for items shown in the photos are given.
