My son attends a preschool for speech delayed children. For a
year-end gift to the teachers, the parents are preparing a scrapbook.
I want to include a tribute poem in the books. Can you locate
something special? Ideally it would be about special educators or
speech therapists, but something paying tribute to teachers in general
would be ok.

Thanks

To Our Volunteer
Author unknown

You've been so very good to us.
You've been kind in every way.
You've made us treats and helped
On all our special days.
Today we'd like to thank you
For all you've done this year,
And to tell you that you're special
And so very, very dear.
Today we'd like to tell you
In our own special way:
We appreciate the things you've done
More than words can say.

A Thank-You, That Comes From The Heart
by Collin McCarty

You're really something...
do you know that?
You go out of your way
when you don't have to;
you have the ability to
brighten the days
in ways that no one else
is able to do.
And you really deserve to know
how very much you're appreciated...
because you are.
The special people in this world
really make a difference.
And you are definitely
one of them.

Best regards,
Rainbow

WHOSE CHILD IS THIS?
Author Unknown

"Whose child is this?" I asked one day
Seeing a little one out at play
"Mine", said the parent with a tender smile
"Mine to keep a little while
To bathe his hands and comb his hair
To tell him what he is to wear
To prepare him that he may always be good
And each day do the things he should"

"Whose child is this?" I asked again
As the door opened and someone came in
"Mine", said the teacher with the same tender smile
"Mine, to keep just for a little while
To teach him how to be gentle and kind
To train and direct his dear little mind
To help him live by every rule
And get the best he can from school"

"Whose child is this?" I ask once more
Just as the little one entered the door
"Ours" said the parent and the teacher as they smiled
And each took the hand of the little child
"Ours to love and train together
Ours this blessed task forever."
