Question ID: 509325
CSS Master like Zeldman or Meyers needed to view this bug in broswer display.
Only happens once so don't reload the page. Once you reload everything is peachy.

URL: http://www.gmpweb.com/portfolio.asp

** Notice on the right there should be a column, but its being pushed
to the bottom, BUT, its not the CSS its not the XHTML.

Reload and you'll see it fully functional. As you can see every time
afterwards you'll see it perfectly, even if you remove the temp
internet files.

Please let me know what it is in the CSS that I've done wrong.

I didn't download the entite content from your site, just enough to
test a bit. When I adjusted your CSS as follows:

#boxright {position:absolute; width: 202px; margin-left: 20px;
margin-top:0px; font: normal 12px/1.5em "MS Sans Serif", Tahoma,
Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; color: #666; padding: 0; border: 0}

I found that the right panel displayed in the correct location.

I see the absolute positioning used instead of the method I chose with
the inflated margin...

Works very well. Might I ask where your fav site is or where I can
obtain the same training you have?

Thanks, once I find out how to credit you I will do so.

My training is entirely self taught using the time tested method of
trial and error. Since I write ASP (now ASP.NET) like you, I've had
to figure out how to make the browser dance without the benefit of a
WYSIWYG editor. I checked out your site and you do good work. If you
have any more trouble figuring out how to trick out your pages, bring
it back here and give me a crack at it.

Self taught, just like me... I am more of a designer and less of a
coder, but am trying to get up to speed in terms of XHTML w3c
compliant CSS and also 508 compliancy.

Have you any idea how to get Google answers to "pay for answer"?

Have you got any examples of yur masterpiece online? I'd love to study it.
Many thanks
