I am looking for a list of scholarships, competitions, grants, awards,
etc. available to high school age music students which can help them
pay for music education (lessons, music, instruments, travel, etc.).
I have two high school age children and need help paying for this now,
not when they enter college. Current annual costs are in the range of
$15,000 per student. I know there are Peterson's Guides etc. for
college-bound students, but that's not what I need. I also know there
are many web-based scholarship search services, but I don't trust
them. There are many local scholarhips, but you have to live in those
areas, so I need either national, international or New York State
based programs. There are also many scholarhips for specific ethnic
groups which do not apply to me. Ideally, there would be a book,
website or database which lists all the national and regional music
scholarships and eligibility requirements.
