Where did, if anywhere, Tone Loc sample the catchy guitar riff in "Funky Cold Medina?" This is to settle a bet. It sounds like a Foreigner riff to me but I'm told it's might be from Kiss. |

Hi there mikeloo... This was a fun question to research. I hope you are on the winning side of the bet. Both ideas you mentioned were correct. This song was written by Young MC and featured samples from Foreigner's "Hot Blooded" for the main verses and Kiss' "Christine Sixteen" for the breaks. Wild Thang was its predecessor, also written by Young MC, and had a sample from Van Halen’s "Jamie’s Cryin’".
